My life journey has taken me on a multifaceted path. I earned a BA and M.Ed. in Elementary Education and Ph.D. in Reading and taught for thirty-one years in the public school system. I started my teaching career in Special Education. After five years, I changed paths to middle school and for the rest of my career taught English/Language Arts to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.
I went to seminary and was ordained as an Interfaith minister in 2006. Most of my work since then has been in prison ministry. In 2015, I decided to pursue certification in Spiritual Direction. I earned that certification in 2017. While enrolled in the spiritual direction program, I learned about SoulCollage® and became a facilitator in 2017. I am excited to bring SoulCollage® to Greenville. I started taking photographs as a young person. I started taking snapshots of everything I saw. Over the years, my photography evolved into what is known as contemplative photography. I use it as one of my contemplative practices. |
