Rev. Jeri Sarracino

My life journey has taken me on a multifaceted path. I earned a BA and M.Ed. in Elementary Education and Ph.D. in Reading and taught for thirty-one years in the public school system. I started my teaching career in Special Education. After five years, I changed paths to middle school and for the rest of my career taught English/Language Arts to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. 

​I went to seminary and was ordained as an Interfaith minister in 2006. Most, but not all, of my work since then has been in prison ministry. In 2015, I decided to pursue certification in Spiritual Direction and earned that certification in 2017. Currently, I work one-on-one with people, walking along with them as a companion on their spiritual journey. I absolutely love doing this work!

I started taking photographs as a young person. I started by taking snapshots of everything I saw. Over the years, my photography evolved into what is known as contemplative photography. I use it as one of my contemplative practices and have published a book to help people with their contemplative practice as well.
